March 14th, 2011 - From DC to Barcelona

David was so diligent he was packed in no time. Taluz had just selected all possibilities to pack and thought would be done by midnight but it did not happen that way. After a sharing with hearts all over the world last night led by Irmansyah Effendi, and a set of Open Heart Workshops, which TaluzA coordinated & hosted during the weekend, she was too tired to finish packing that night so went to bed at around 1:00am finally got packed and ready to start our adventure in the morning.
Having tried to leave as few loose ends as possible back in Bethesda, bills paid, mail posted, dog food for Toby, Cinnamon and Charlie; instructions left, our son Chris now back home to help us taking care of things home, we are on the way. Flew from DC to NYC and after a 5 hour wait in NYC we flew to Barcelona. We happen to be lucky enough to have the eldest daughter of our wonderful Bolivian Friends Jacques & Katia Trigo living in Barcelona, so after a few hours rest, we met with Carolina and Ramon and after a few welcoming drinks headed into the streets of that beautiful city.
Barcelona is a discovery for both of us, a city of class and elegance, so much so that we have decided to spend one more day here before heading off to the Camino. Wednesday night took us to 7Portes (http://www.7portes.com/) for a meal that served as a fine introduction to Cataluña. Our walk from the hotel took us through the old city.

The Beginning in Barcelona, enjoying a delicious meal with Carito and Ramon (David took the pictures).
