After three weeks of albergues, we decide to have some privacy, have gotten a room at a hostel right in front of the XII Century Santa María del Camino Church, as seen from our window.
Albergues are cheap, convenient, fun, introduce us to fellow pilgrims who are almost all very friendly and helpful, but occasionally one would like to sleep without a dozen others in the same room.
Yesterday took us along the Canal de Castilla, one of the finer stretches of Camino we have been on recently.
We have been on the Camino now for almost a month and continue to have our sights set on Santiago de Compostela by around May 7.
